Numpad settings of VI in PuTTY

Numpad is very useful and fast while editing/viewing files in vi, because of * and / facility of vi to do quick search. But while running vi under putty, numpad really pisses me of. It just doesn’t work the way it should be, and just simply takes me to the insert mode starts behaving as per different rules. So here is how to make a numpad work correctly on VI when opened from a PuTTY session.

Go into Terminal->Features-> and check in "Disable Application keypad mode". Hopefully this helps some Windows users out there

Done, life is good.
